  • Tube bending

Hey Deve, Do you have any tips on the proper way to bend tubing? I could ruin a 20ft roll practicing, but would rather learn it right from the start. Terry

You need a tube bender to do it. What size and type steel are you trying to bend? I use this one for stainless steel (thus everything else since stainless is the hardest):

The reason I like that one is it is made of sturdy materials and it is adjustable for all sizes. I used to use a plastic wheel one but this one has metal wheels and clamps to a vise for more precision bends. I am a fan of Brakequip brand tools for flaring, bending, straightening, cutting. Expensive, but the last one you will ever buy.

I was killing time in a Harbor freight store yesterday and picked up a tube bender for $8. Just thought I should have one and learn. Will check out Brakequip. Your pcv tube was bent perfectly! My $8 bender probably won't be the last one I buy
