Water Temp Gauge Fitting at the Head

This is not just an NPT fitting available anywhere. Good news is, I am seeing the vendors carry it, and here are the part numbers and sizes if you need them:

VDO Part Number 701-1798
5/8-18 UNF to 1/2-14 NPT

also, VDO Part # 180-066 is more available and seems to do the same thing.

Do these fittings have enough of the female threads to catch the stock truck gauge?
A lot of the replacement fittings will only catch a few threads.
