  • Front of the seat platform

Do you guys see anything wrong with cutting the center out of the seat platform, structurally? I am working on a buddies '50 3100 and there were speakers hacked/cut out of the platform. So there is already a couple of 6" holes.
Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

As long as the front is unbroken, some metal at the top and bottom, I don't see a structural problem. Since the seat frame is mounted on the inside edges of the seat pedestal with no support across the expanse, there isn't any structural issues. I did this on one of mine and there are no issues.
